Certified Pilates and Yoga Instructor

Cathy began dancing at the age of three, which developed into a passion for music and movement and danced professionally into her early 20’s. It was around this time when she discovered Pilates at her local gym. The discipline of the movements and mind/body connection led her to fall in love with Pilates and she practiced consistently for several years. After the birth of her 2nd child, she began teaching Zumba in 2009, due to her background with Brazilian Dancing.  During this time, she discovered her love of teaching others.  Adding to all this, she also began Crossfit in 2013 and became a certified instructor, specialising in Power Lifting. 

After a few years, Cathy discovered her body could not take the intensity of this style of exercise, and injuries were beginning to develop. She took a break and decided to pursue her original love of Pilates. In 2015, she was certified in Mat Pilates at Pure Health clubs under master trainer Marina Perry and has been teaching ever since. More recently she has been certified in Reformer Pilates.

Cathy is also a qualified kids yoga instructor. Her goal is to introduce children into the world of yoga, breath, and mindfulness.  She has extensive experience teaching children, and her aim is to create a loving and fun environment for them whilst teaching them valuable life lessons to help them to cope with the stresses of everyday life and situations.

Cathy has a bright teaching style (which always boosts the energy and mood of the room). Her biggest pleasure in teaching is seeing other people’s progress, and the difference it makes in their lives.  She loves to make her classes creative, challenging and fun.
